I want to take a moment to talk about the UNLAWFUL arrest and jailing of one of the greatest musical figures of our time, 16 year old C Blu.
On Tuesday January 18th, Camrin Williams, 16 better known as the NYC drill rapper C Blu, was hanging with DA GUYS in the Little Italy section of the Bronx jus' shootin da shit. And den some dummy called the police. Da fuk? Some goofy called 12 cuz da gathering was too lit?? What da hell, son?
When C Blu was questioned by Kassem Pennant, a 27 year old black cop, he refused to show his hands. At that point, Pennant shoulda known bruh was deadass PACCIN DA GLIZZY on CRIP. Of course brodie had da BLICK on 'em. Pennant obviously didn't listen to enough C Blu even though he's black. Bruh. You ain't black if you ain't slappin C Blu.
One of C Blu's deepest lyrics goes, "I might be a rapper but u know I can't lack like/Gotta keep me a strap, no dike." So the goofy ahh cop shoulda been turnt around soon as he seen C Blu cuz he shoulda known dat C Blu cud never be caught lackin'!
So obvi C Blu ain't show his hands as he was instructed to, cuz...he's C Blu. So da dumbahh cop decided to try C Blu. But he ain't know he was dealing with a real one. C Blu and the cop ended up in a physical struggle, and in the midst of the melee, C Blu pulled the trigger, shooting himself in the groin and shooting the officer in the leg. Ain't he know dat C Blu don't miss? Kasem Pennant wuz lucky dat C Blu ain' turn hiz azz to a pack because C Blu once rapped, "hit you once then you gotta be gone/killed from da back while you singing my songs."
C Blu was later arrested. For what?? The cop went to the hospital but he is apparently fine. Bail was set for $250,000 but fortunately C Blu, a once-in-a-lifetime talent on the level of Tupac Shakur or Nas, had already inked a deal with Interscope Records! C Blu is one of the hardest rappers in NYC so obviously he had the racks. C Blu used his record deal advance money and some help from his fam to make his $250,000 bail and was released on January 28th.
But before C Blu could get back to slidin' on the opps, gettin' neck from da opps thots, spinnin' da blocc, and runnin' up dem bandz he got arrested again. DAMN. FREE C BLU! THE HATIN ASS JUDGE had C Blu re-arrested after the judge realized that he had violated his probation by having a firearm in the first place! (he was previously arrested for a gun charge in 2020 at the age of 14). Dat's some double jeopardy type shit!
So now C Blu is back in jail waiting for his court date. Jus cuz he had da chop?? Come on son. C Blu is innocent! Bro, free da guys!
(On a serious note, C Blu is a typical violent street artist who raps about taking drugs, having sex, and killing other rival gang members. He raps on pretty cool sounding Bronx-based drill beats. As far as his rap skill, his flow does stand out in the currently saturated NYC drill scene. He definitely has potential as an artist. He messed up really bad, but I actually don't think he should get an attempted murder conviction. I also don't think that he should be convicted on any of the more serious charges that carry lengthy prison sentences either. It seems to me that the gun going off in the scuffle was actually an accident. Hopefully C Blu can get a second chance. He's only 16. But NYC gang warfare is out of control right now. If C Blu gets a break, he is going to have to try his best to avoid killing the opps or getting killed by the opps.)
