DONALD J. TRUMP Announces 2024 Bid For the Presidency In Snoozer Of A Speech (Part 2)

Some people have downplayed the importance of Trump’s Mar-A-Lago announcement. Trump’s just playing it safe, they say. But playing it safe is not a typical feature of Trumpian politics, nor is it a winning feature. His speechwriter should be fired. Delicacy and decorum are hallmarks of GOP politics. And Republicans are cordial losers. It is already highly unlikely that Trump will ever be President again, but if Trump “toes the GOP line” and dances around sensitive issues, he will probably get primaried. If Trump’s 2024 campaign tone is in any way similar to the tone of his announcement speech, he will lose “bigly.” It is not natural for Trump’s brand to stick to a bland and boring script.

Trump’s speech was severely lacking because it either made no mention of or barely addressed: mass tech censorship (including his own) and the elimination of any semblance of free speech, the political persecution of Trump supporters, the war against traditional white European American values, the blatant robbery of his 2nd Presidential term, and the planned social credit score system of the World Economic Forum. He offered absolutely no commentary on the absurd domestic suppression campaign against “MAGA Republicans,” “election deniers,” “white supremacists,” and other alleged “threats to democracy.”

Trump went on and on about the accomplishments of his 2017-2021 administration but those statements have limited relevance now. The country has shifted so radically in the opposite direction that it’s as if his achievements never happened. Joe Biden’s administration has literally reversed or undone everything Trump did. What Trump should have done was talk about how genuinely furious he is that the Deep State apparatus not only robbed him of a second term, but has probably done irreparable damage to the country. He should have at least insinuated his displeasure over his most ardent supporters being unfairly maligned, abused, and even imprisoned.

It should also be noted that Trump said untrue things about how things were in 2020, the final year of his Presidency. He said that we were a great nation back then. We were not. We were in the midst of George Floyd riots, racial strife, the tearing down of monuments, attacks on white American identity, Covid-19 lockdowns, and mass unemployment. He said that the world was at peace when he was President. It was not. America in particular was still fighting in Syria, Afghanistan, and Yemen. There were several conflicts in places like Ethiopia and Armenia. He also made false promises about paper ballots, voter ID, and single day voting. Anyone with a brain cell knows that even if he somehow wins the nomination for the 2024 election, none of those election safeguards will be implemented. Trump has decided to run for political office in 2024 even though none of the issues that allowed the election to be stolen from him in 2020 have been fixed. How quixotic, fanciful, foolish does that sound? He stands virtually no chance.

The truth is that Trump didn't make America great again in his first time, even though he did manage to make the brand of Americanism great again. The fundamental problems that existed at the beginning of his term were still there at the end of his presidency. The vapid and consumerist culture, the racial tension, the erosion of the white European American core identity, the rampant sexual decadence, the LGBTQ+ insanity, the corruption of the CIA, FBI, and DOJ, and the rotten educational system were still in existence when Trump was ignominously “voted” out of office.
