I'm just adding more irrefutable evidence to support what I laid out in my first post about the dangerous demonization of the "unvaccinated".
Seychelles
Seychelles saw cases rise rapidly in September even though the vaccination rate at that juncture was in the 70-75% range. Like Mongolia and Israel, Seychelles started vaccinating its population very early-on, well before most of the rest of the world got on board. As of early December, Seychelles still has not lifted many of its draconian Covid measures. Moreover, cases are rising again, even though the nation has inoculated around 80% of its population.
Some of the restrictions being imposed on residents include the following: 1) Fines for "assembling" around places of entertainment, bars, and cafes, 2) Closure of venues that do not follow Covid protocols and, 3) An overnight curfew between the hours of 11pm and 4am where residents are not allowed to exit their homes unless there is an emergency. Given these heavy-handed measures, what benefit does Seychelles have to show for its mass vaccination fervor? Nothing. Despite the fact that 80% of people in Seychelles have dutifully taken their experimental potions, there is no end in sight to the pandemic dictatorship that has taken the tiny island hostage. Given this reality, how can anyone say that the "unvaccinated" are the problem?
*As a side note, Seychelles is relying on China’s Sinopharm shot, which is made with an inactive SARS-CoV-2 virus. So they’re not relying heavily on the mRNA-based vaccines like Moderna and Pfizer but that's irrelevant. The fact is that all of the shots that are going around now are still not fully tested. Giving people unproven medical products is a grave violation of people’s basic medical rights.*
Portugal
Portugal boasts an 88% vaccination rate, one of the highest rates in Europe. Even so, the country is seeing covid cases rise again. Go figure. This is totally a "pandemic of the unvaccinated." As of December 1st, Portugal has imposed serious restrictions on the Portuguese. Those limits include the presentation of negative COVID-19 tests to enter certain venues even if “fully vaccinated,” and the reimposition of compulsory mask usage. Also, remote work will be mandatory for everyone in January to reduce any problems from holiday festivities. This is shameful. All of this rigmarole when Portugal is approaching 90% vaccination! Wow. Just stop the damn sham of a vaccination program already. Sadly, maniacal tyrants are in control and they don’t care that they’re just making everything worse.
To further debunk the idea of the "unvaccinated" being a problem, here’s what the NY Times reported about cases surging in highly vaccinated countries in September 2021:
‘Mongolia promised its people a “Covid-free summer.” Bahrain said there would be a “return to normal life.” The tiny island nation of the Seychelles aimed to jump-start its economy. All three put their faith, at least in part, in easily accessible Chinese-made vaccines, which would allow them to roll out ambitious inoculation programs when much of the world was going without. But instead of freedom from the coronavirus, all three countries are now battling a surge in infections.’
What happened? My hunch is that maybe the vaccines aren't worth a damn. Pandemic of the unvaccinated my ass. I have more to say in Part III.
