THE 2 ROOT CAUSES OF WAR IN UKRAINE (II/II)

As the war progresses, always remember that this entire situation could have been easily avoided.

The second root cause of the war is the U.S. State Department/George Soros fueled 2014 coup which overthrew President Viktor Yanukovych and replaced him with an anti-Russian, pro-EU administration. This regime, which began under the leadership of Petro Poroschenko, and continues under the stewardship of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, harbors severe animosity towards the ethnic Russians in the Donbass region. There has been a serious and sometimes bloody low-grade conflict there since 2014 between the central government of Ukraine and the separatists who want to join up with Russia. Emboldened by Western imperialist powers, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has vowed to subdue these regions and even reclaim Crimea. There is no doubt that Zelenskyy is playing Russian roulette (pun intended) with such brazen posturing. From Russia's perspective, Crimea is a non-negotiable issue. Crimea is integral to the Russian economy and is historically important as well. A NATO-backed Ukrainian offensive in Crimea proper would very likely trigger something nuclear.

Putin announced in his major speech that referendums would be taking place in the disputed regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia. As of September 29th, all of those regions have voted to join Russia. The Western powers have already made it clear that they will back Ukraine and ignore the referendum results. A Russian annexation of these regions would be an absolute disaster and an embarrassment on the international stage for the Zelenskyy regime. One need not be Nostradamus to see that this is building up to what could be an explosive crescendo. If Russia views those territories as Russian soil while the West and Ukraine view Russia's claims as being illegitimate, one can easily imagine that the war will get exponentially worse.

The West’s generous financial investment and military support for Ukraine has sustained this war so it isn't going to end anytime soon. If not for Western intervention, Ukraine would have capitulated by now and Russia would have won. If not for the West, damage to important infrastructure would have been lessened and the loss of life and limb would have been minimized. If not for the West, the impending oil and energy crisis would be averted. Peace has not occurred because the West will not allow it to happen. Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s regime has been propped up by the United Nations and the NATO alliance, primarily fueled by the United States and Great Britain. As such, the regime has refused to negotiate with the Kremlin. The United States alone has already contributed over $50 billion in aid to Ukraine since the war started. The Western war machine has been fully awakened by the Ukraine-Russia conflict, so there is no incentive to even call for a ceasefire because war is good for business.
